The IB is introducing a new tool to help interested and candidate schools project their authorization timeline.

To become an IB World School, candidate schools go through an authorization process consisting of several stages, each with their own distinctive objectives and supports. With the new interactive timeline tool, candidate schools can more easily predict how long each stage in the authorization process will take.

The journey to authorization is flexible and school-focused, allowing each school to project its own readiness for each successive stage in the process. Readiness is based on the school satisfactorily completing the milestones in each phase, and considering the advice provided by IB educators and staff.
